The Viceroy

Meticulously crafted down to the last detail, layers of rich complexity breathe new life into this Aspen/Snowmass gem.

The Viceroy provides a distinct warmth and vibrancy through a juxtaposition of contemporary and time-worn character. Our role was to not only design but to respect and restore a local and nationally recognized luxury ski-in/ski-out resort in the heart of Snowmass Village. Clean lines, hand-crafted details, warm leather, and wood create a refined yet comfortable atmosphere, where all feel welcome and relaxed. Rough-hewn black concrete, mimicking local basalt rock, offers a respectful nod to its surrounding mountain landscape.

At the heart of the lobby is the cafe and lounge. A glowing central chandelier, that doubles as security shutters after closing, encourages guests to pause for a moment and invites them in.

The concierge desk was crafted by our sister company, Raw Creative, using the lost art of cooperage from a singular live edge slab that was locally sourced. Underlit, rough-hewn black concrete provides a complement and visual break from the contemporary white oak paneling used throughout the space.

Floor-to-ceiling concrete fireplace surrounds, fabricated by our sister studio, were cast to mimic the look of local basalt rock. Warm leather and hand-crafted live edge tables create a refined yet comfortable atmosphere where guests feel welcome and relaxed.
